Have a question? We can help!

At Able Auto Transport, we understand you may have questions about our vehicle shipping services across Canada, and we’re here to address your concerns.

HOW DO I PAY?

VISA, Master Card, or company checks will be accepted (at our discretion) for deposit or full prepayment. If you are a dealership then we will bill you. Please note a fee of 4% may apply for all credit card payments.

HOW DO I CHECK ON THE STATUS OF MY ORDER?

Call our dispatcher at the toll free number we provide to you once your order is processed. We will track your order and give you an update as soon as possible.

WILL MY VEHICLE BE DRIVEN?

The vehicle maybe driven from the pick up location to the drop off locations so it must have sufficent fuel. The driver will also drive your car on and off the car transport, and may have to unload and re-load your car occasionally during transport to optimize space on the trailer. This unloading / reloading is kept to a minimum.

CAN I PUT ITEMS IN THE CAR?

Able does not authorize personal belongings in the vehicle. We are not insured for household goods. We will review case by case as to what can be stored, and how it must be stored. You may be held responsible for any damage caused by personal items to our auto carrier, or to any of the vehicles on the auto carrier, so it is very important they be stored properly. The car is subject to being impounded and all fines and expenses will be passed along to the owner of the car. Under NO circumstances can the car contain firearms, hazardous materials, illegal substances, or contraband.

WHEN CAN YOU PICKUP MY VEHICLE?

We will call you prior to us picking up your vehicle(s). If you require your vehicle to be picked up earlier then our pick up date, we will make every effort to assist you.

WHAT IS DOOR-TO-DOOR SERVICE?

In Edmonton and Calgary we provide Door-to-Door service which simply means we will do our best to have the car delivered directly to your address. Many cities have restrictions on large trucks that prohibit them from driving into some residential areas. In cases like this we will do our best to make arrangements to pick up or drop off at a mutual spot.

WHAT TO DO IF MY VEHICLE GOT DAMAGED?

Our auto carriers strive to do the best job possible, however, sometimes damage does occur. If damage is found on your vehicle, notify Able Auto Transport within 6 hours of the next business day, or the damage may not be looked after. See our CONDITION REPORT for procedures to follow in case of a damage caused by our auto carrier. We will help in every effort to solve this issue.

IS MY VEHICLE INSURED?

Your vehicle(s) will be insured against in-transit damage caused by auto carrier negligence. By law we must carry a minimum of $1,000,000 liability insurance, and also cargo insurance. In addition Able Auto Transport requires that each independent contractor’s insurance agency supplies us with a certificate of insurance naming 1056551 Alberta Inc. dba: Able Auto Transport as an additional insured or certificate holder.
